Terms of Commission.

01 The maison

CEPHI is a brand of Plexsonic Pte Ltd (UEN 202410512H), a company registered in Singapore ("the maison"). A commission is a contract between the client and Plexsonic Pte Ltd, formed when the maison's written quotation is accepted and the commission deposit is received.

02 Consultation & quotation

Commissions proceed from a private consultation. Pricing is by quotation only; each quotation is a single delivered figure that includes delivery and, for international commissions, duties and import taxes. A quotation remains open for the period stated on it.

Where a quotation contains a manifest error — a typographical or clerical mistake in the figure or specification — the maison reserves the right to correct it and reissue the quotation, or to decline the commission, before the deposit is received. Nothing is binding until a corrected quotation is accepted.

03 Consent & material

The client warrants that all biological material submitted is provided with the documented consent of every living contributor, recorded in the commission dossier. The maison accepts living material only and does not process memorial remains. Where biological yield requires supplementation, ultra-pure mineral carbon is introduced as described in the maison's published protocol; a finished diamond is pure crystalline carbon and does not preserve genetic material. Surplus material is destroyed once growth is complete; clients are encouraged to provide only the required measure.

04 Payment

Union and Companion commissions are payable 50% on commission, 25% at crystallisation, and 25% before dispatch or collection. Custom non-biological commissions are payable 50% on commission and 50% before dispatch or collection. Each stage is invoiced against the commission dossier and settled by bank transfer.

05 Cancellation

A commission may be cancelled at any time before the Repository Capsule is dispatched to the laboratory; amounts paid are returned less a fixed atelier fee disclosed at quotation, covering the coffret, couriers and laboratory reservation. Once the capsule is dispatched, the commission is in process for growth and is non-refundable.

06 Growth & specification

Each commission is grown once: a single dedicated run in its own sealed growth cell, brought to the commissioned specification. Nothing below the commissioned grade is delivered. Should the maison be unable to deliver the commissioned specification, amounts paid for the commission are returned, and the maison's liability remains limited as set out in clause 10.

07 Delivery, risk & title

The finished commission is delivered by insured, signature-on-delivery courier, or collected in person in Singapore by appointment. Risk in the piece passes to the client on signed delivery or collection; title passes on receipt of full payment.

08 Warranty & aftercare

Each piece is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship, which the maison repairs at no charge. The guarantee does not extend to accidental damage, normal wear, or loss — matters for the client's own insurance — and ends where work is performed by any party other than the maison. The maison cleans and inspects pieces sent in as a courtesy, the client bearing insured shipping to the atelier and the maison the insured return. Resizing is available as a chargeable service, subject to design.

09 Documentation

Each commission is delivered with its independent grading certificate and Certificate of Biological Origin, bearing the stone's registry sequence. Hand-engraving of the registry sequence inside the band is included with every ring commission. A valuation stating replacement value is issued upon request. Care guidance specific to the piece accompanies each commission.

10 Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maison's aggregate liability in connection with a commission is limited to the amounts paid for that commission. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

11 Governing law

These terms and each commission are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction.

12 Design & replication

Designs created by the maison, including drawings and renderings, remain the maison's property. The maison may draw on its designs across commissions; where a client requests it at commission, a design will be reserved solely for that client and not replicated.

13 Portfolio & confidentiality

The maison may photograph completed commissions for its archive, portfolio and publications; a client may opt out at commission. Client identity and the circumstances of a commission are kept strictly confidential, and any published account is anecdotal and non-identifying unless the client's express consent is sought.

The content of this website — its text, images, marks and design — belongs to the maison and may not be reproduced without permission. Site content is provided for general information; the terms of any commission are those agreed at quotation.
